Teleconference Boot Camp Classes
for people near and far

Teleconference Boot Camp Class: Nothing beats the convenience of learning from your home, office or (parked) car or the flexibility of listening to class recordings when you can’t attend. The Boot Camp teleconference is a great opportunity to learn with people from all over the world and be a part of a positive and motivated community. Participants will be assigned challenging weekly “workouts” to practice new positive psychology strategies, and weekly readings to supplement their learning. If you want to enhance your experience and increase your commitment and accountability, sign-up with a far away friend and meet a social goal, too!

Space is limited. Sign-up today!

In this intensive five-session teleconference you’ll learn the foundational concepts in Positive Psychology and become familiar with the field’s most important research, including the study of character strengths, the science of happiness, goal setting, optimism and the practice of gratitude. Students will be assigned a daily “workout” between classes and learn how to apply Positive Psychology interventions in their day-to-day life.

Ready for Change!

Like many girls growing up in the 70s, I wanted to be a cheerleader. But I came from a basketball-loving family, and grew to be six feet tall, so I played basketball—and became the first woman to score 1,000 points at Amherst College! Now I’m a coach, a life and business coach, and am finally able to fulfill my girlhood cheerleading dreams by motivating people to reach their goals.

I currently teach Positive Psychology Theory and Applications at the Tufts University Experimental College and am an award-winning Teaching Fellow in the Psychology Department at Harvard University. In 2006 and 2008 I was head teaching assistant in Tal Ben-Shahar’s extremely popular Positive Psychology class (850 students) at Harvard. As much as I love coaching, I also love sharing what I’ve learned—as a teacher, a workshop leader and a keynote speaker! If you’d like to learn more about Positive Psychology, or are interested in using Positive Psychology interventions to help you or your clients feel more motivated and engaged, please contact me. I’ve just launched an exciting five-session Positive Psychology Boot Camp in May and June, 2011, conducted in two formats for everyone’s convenience: via teleconference and by group at a comfortable and inspiring location in Cambridge, Massachusetts. My friend and colleague Shawn Achor, who was Head Teaching Fellow with me at Harvard, just released his book “The Happiness Advantage: The Seven Principles of Positive Psychology That Fuel Success and Performance at Work.” Shawn is terrific, and I’ve included his book in my list of resources—check it out!
