Like many girls growing up in the 70s, I wanted to be a cheerleader. But I came from a basketball-loving family, and grew to be six feet tall, so I played basketball—and became the first woman to score 1,000 points at Amherst College! Now I’m a coach, a life and business coach, and am finally able to fulfill my girlhood cheerleading dreams by motivating people to reach their goals.

Teaching
I currently teach Positive Psychology Theory and Applications at the Tufts University Experimental College and am an award-winning Teaching Fellow in the Psychology Department at Harvard University. In 2006 and 2008 I was head teaching assistant in Tal Ben-Shahar’s extremely popular Positive Psychology class (850 students) at Harvard. As much as I love coaching, I also love sharing what I’ve learned—as a teacher, a workshop leader and a keynote speaker! If you’d like to learn more about Positive Psychology, or are interested in using Positive Psychology interventions to help you or your clients feel more motivated and engaged, please contact me. I’ve just launched an exciting five-session Positive Psychology Boot Camp in May and June, 2011, conducted in two formats for everyone’s convenience: via teleconference and by group at a comfortable and inspiring location in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
